Science Reveals Truth About Alkaline Water

Water, an essential part of the hierarchy of human needs. Alkaline water is known to be the exact counterpart of acidic water since it has an increased pH level than just in the common forms of water. Recently, claims to alkaline water being able promote good health have been found to also increase the popularity of alkaline diets and revenues of machines which turn regular water into alkaline water.

A series of researches have previously been conducted in order to measure the effects of alkaline water intake on bones. The study, which was published in the journal Bone, has found an effect on bone resorption which is known to be the process where old bone cells are broken down and is being replaced by new ones. It was noted that the lesser bone resorption and mineral density, the bigger the chance of having a better bone strength.

As per Medical News Today, study authors conclude that a bicarbonate- and calcium-rich alkali mineral water decreases bone resorption more than a calcium-rich acidic mineral water does. However, the study authors have also been said to be calling for a more in-depth research to see if the benefit of less resorption could possibly last for longer terms and if it could improve the bone's mineral density.

The Oye Times also claims that alkaline water or diet is a clean and appealing solution to the underlying problem. Studies have shown that a lot of worst foods that Americans usually eat like canned goods, greasy meat and soda are in fact, acidic. So, the use of alkaline water is just but essential to one's health.

It is a common knowledge that getting enough liquids to keep the water balance of our bodies plays a vital role in our life. However, experts have emphasized that there is no sufficient evidence that could prove drinking alkaline water is essential for health or that it can be used for the treatment of any medical condition.
