"The Young and the Restless" is getting more exciting after the secret about Sully's parentage was revealed. One of the most important plotlines that the show is developing requires the presence of Adam Newman. There has been much controversy on who will play Adam's character after Justin Hartley left the show. The newest rumors reveal that Hartley will be back to play Adam although it would only be for a few episodes.

Adam Is Back From The Dead

Prior reports already hinted that Adam is recovering somewhere. Adam has been presumed dead when the cabin went up in flames. He made it out of the cabin and a retired doctor helped him. However, after the incident, Adam lost his memory which explains why he has not been in touch with his family the entire time.

When Adam regains his memory, he will try to get in touch with Chelsea, (Melissa Claire Egan) and the big reveal that Christian is his son would be out. The entire plotline is plausible since rumors revealed that Hartley filmed extra episodes prior to his departure which were not aired yet. Hartley will have enough time to shoot for scenes after Adam regains his memories since it coincides with the break for the actor's other show, NBC's "This Is Us." Unfortunately, there's no word on how Hartley will bow out after these developments.

"The Young And The Restless" Spoilers

It has been quite a ruckus for "The Young and the Restless" over the past week. The revelation about Sully changed many things. Nick (Joshua Morrow) naturally believes that the child is his. Even if Dylan (Steve Burton) loves the child a lot, he would have no choice but to hand Sully over. Dylan is bound to have his heart broken again and this could drive him out of the picture while he licks his wounds.

Burton already announced that he is planning to leave the soap when his contract ends in December. Dylan's trust issues and desire to be by himself could serve as a good excuse for his exit and leave the role open for a recast or a comeback.
