One of the new Spell cards coming in Clash Royale is the Tornado Card which many had a lot of hopes for, considering that the Poison Spell was heavily nerfed on the previous patch. Now, with only days away from its official release, let's talk about the perfect builds and strategies to maximize the potential of this new card.

The Tornado Spell will be available from Arena 6 (Builder's Workshop). 
The Tornado Spell pulls all units within the 5-tile radius towards the eye of the storm, dealing medium damage to all affected troops.

Clash Royale Tornado Spell Strategy

One of the strengths of this card is that, based on the leaked gameplay that we've seen in this article, it enables the effective use of AoE spells and troop abilities including fireball, wizard, ice spirit and fire spirits. Also, it appears that the troops caught in the 'pulling effect' of the Tornado cannot fight back which could imply that this spell, aside from its pulling effect, causes troops to freeze during the full duration of the card. If this goes live next week then this is truly devastating for both for sieging and defense as you can make effective Elixir trades using this card.

One effective strategy for this card is that it directly counters Miner decks. Simply bait a structure (i.e. Elixir Collector) and once your opponent's Miner shows up, pull the miner towards the King's tower using the Tornado. If you're a Miner user, then you must be wary of this bait during your matches.

Lastly, at Tournament level, the Tornado card can easily wipe out swarm troops (i.e. fire spirits, spear goblins, goblins and skeletons) on its own. If you're facing minion horde with an unguarded tower, the pulling effect and damage of the tornado is just enough to save you in a clinch.

Clash Royale Tornado Spell Decks

X-Bow Beatdown with Tornado - The Tornado Spell is undoubtedly going to be the next saving grace of the X-Bow Beatdown decks. Since the deck is more focus in defending and elixir trades, you can easily defend your X-Bow or clear the counterpush of your opponents using a simple Ice Spirit + Tornado Combo.

Ice Wizard Giant Beatdown with Tornado - One of the weakpoints of this deck is its fragile supporting troops which can easily be mitigated or even nullified with the Tornado spell. You can now pull all troops towards the path of the giants to redirect its focus on the tanks and clear the path for Wizards to deal significant damage to the tower.

Hog Bowler with Tornado - This deck will easily wreck any tower with the use of Tornado. You can easily pull any troops away from your sieging troops to give it ample time to destroy your opponent's tower.
