Dishonored 2 Performance Fix Tips: How To Adjust PC FPS Settings For Game

Dishonored 2 PC players have recently been reporting of performance issues with the game. Bethesda has released some recommended PC fixes on Nov. 10 pending patch update.

Bethesda Recommendation For Dishonored 2 PC Fix

Bethesda acknowledged recently the earlier complaints of PC players regarding some performance issues with Dishonored 2. The developer made some recommendations. First, players are advised to stop or disable any applications running in the background. Bethesda also warned that the use of Alt + Tab should be avoided while the game is running. It is strongly advised to restart the game if player notice performance issues after the pressing the Alt + Tab.

Adjust Video Settings For Dishonored 2

One way to fix the performance issues is to adjust the video resolution. PC users can only play the game at 1440p only if their GPU is capable of handling it. For example, the GPU should either be a GTX 1070, 1080 or any equivalent. Consider lowering the resolution to improve the game's performance.

If the frame rate fluctuation is extremely huge, check and make sure that the V-Sync is activated. Those running the game at below 30fps should set the "Adaptive Resolution" above 50 percent but below 75 percent.

If That Fails Try Advance Settings

The presets should be turned to "Auto" which would adjust your computer's visual setting and will not affect the fps. If the performance problems persist despite Auto presets, deactivate the "TXAA Anti-Aliasing" and or lower the texture details. Hopefully any or all of these recommended PC fix will help you play and enjoy the game the way it should be.

Dishonored 2 is available on Nov. 11, 2016 in the various platforms that include PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Those who pre-ordered Dishonored 2 got an early access to the game. A video trailer of the Bethesda game could be seen here.
