The demand for SUV in the U.S. market is higher than ever but meeting the demand is not as easy it seems. Chevrolet's solution is the 2017 Spark Activ. It is not exactly an SUV but definitely looks like one and its set to make its debut at the LA Auto Show 2016 in a few days. It would seem like the automaker already knows that a lot of people are looking forward to it since the specs, price, release date and other details buyers should know have already been revealed ahead of its debut.

Chevrolet 2017 Spark Activ Engine Specs

The 2017 Chevrolet Spark Activ has a 1.4-litre four cylinder engine that is capable of producing 98 horsepower with 94 pound-feet of torque. This is paired with a Front-wheel drive (FWD) five-speed manual or automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT) as reported by Digital Trends.

Features Of Chevrolet 2017 Spark Activ

While the 2017 Chevrolet Spark Activ model is not for off-roads like its regular version, Chevrolet claims that it does have "trail-inspired accents" with its roof rails, rocker moldings, round fog lights, extra plastic body cladding, a ride height that has been increased by 0.4 inch as well as a 15-inch wheel design and a grille designed just for it. In a report given by Cars, the 2017 Chevrolet Spark Activ also features standard power windows and locks, air conditioning, cruise control, backup camera, heated front seats, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot and a seven-inch dashboard screen supporting Chevrolet MyLink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Price And Release

Digital Trends reported that the 2017 Chevrolet Spark Activ manual transmission and CVT has a price tag of $16,945 and $18,045 respectively. In the same report, it was stated that the 2017 Chevrolet Spark Activ is expected to hit the U.S market in early 2017. For now, buyers will have to settle getting first-look at the upcoming vehicle during the LA Auto Show that will open on Nov. 18, 2016.
