DEAL ALERT: Best President's Day Weekend Car Deals
With President's Day Weekend upon us, there's only one thing on the mind of every red-blooded American today. Time to go out and take advantage of all the amazing deals the holiday offers!
Why bother with a new TV or yet another piece of furniture no one will use when the hottest deals this year come in the form of a revving engine encased in steel, plastic and polished factory paint?
"Many automakers, as well as local dealerships, are advertising discounts and low-interest rates for this car-sales holiday, but not all deals merit a presidential seal of approval," notes Consumer News.
In its exhaustively researched analysis of this holiday's car deals, Consumer News reminds buyers that the best come by way of 2012 models that are now being replaced, such as the Chevrolet Silverado.
The Top Five Deals on Consumer News' list:
- 2012 Mazda6 (26 percent off avg. MSRP)
- 2012 Nissan Maxima (22 percent off avg. MSRP)
- 2012 Nissan Altima (19 percent off avg. MSRP)
- 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander (18 percent off avg. MSRP)
- 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (17 percent off avg. MSRP)
Other big savings, according to Consumer News, come from deals on the 2013 GMC Yukon XL, the 2013 Ford Expedition EL and 2013 GMC Sierra 1500.
For the discerning car aficionado who still wants to save a few bucks over this President's Weekend, Autoweek has compiled a list of deals that includes more than ten car deals that are all for 2013 models.
As Autoweek's list also includes the Nissan Altima and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (2013 editions), clearly these are the deals to get in on this weekend.
For those looking elsewhere for vehicular satisfaction, the Top Five Deals on Autoweek's list (according to cash back):
