Mods have been a topic of debate within the Fallout 4 community. It affected the player pool, most especially the ones who are using Sony's console PlayStation 4. Well, it seems the longtime drama is being put aside, as the feature is finally arriving to the game via an update.
According to PlayStationLifeStyle, Fallout 4 fans can expect the mods to arrive to PlayStation 4 sometime later this week. Bethesda revealed that it'll be part of Update 1.8, which is also believed to introduce a couple of features and/or improvements. With its arrival, players will be finally able to create and/or modify their very own contents.
However, as already been stated by the studio, access to external assets will be impossible with Fallout 4 PS4 mods. Obviously, most players in the console didn't like it. Regardless though, it's better than nothing. It's worth noting that players will be able to utilize any assets as long as they arrive together with the title, something that most mods actually do.
The Fallout 4 Creation Kit has included the support feature for the PS4 mods since last week. Moreover, players will be happy knowing that these have already been uploaded by the creators. Some mods worth mentioning are Simple Camping, The Kelly Household and Separate Coats. To view all of the available mods coming to the aforesaid console, check it out here.
To access the said Fallout 4 mods, players must have their own account in Bethesda's official site. From there, they can easily brows and/or try all the available mods. But of course, this will only be possible once the feature becomes live on the official servers of the game.
As for the Fallout 4 update 1.9, Bethesda has yet to reveal any official patch notes. Nonetheless, many believe that it'll bring a number of enhancements as well as minor fixes. In fact, reports suggest that it'll bring PS4 Pro support as well as 4K tweaks. As of this writing, the only confirmed feature it'll introduce are the aforementioned mods.
