iPhone 8 Rumor Roundup: New Report Claims Wireless Charging For iPhone

The iPhone 8 is roughly ten months away from its predicted launch. However, rumors about it have already started surfacing soon after the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have been released. Right now, the next iPhone has already been leaked a number of times, so even though Apple hasn't really confirmed anything, it's almost sure that the iPhone 8 is coming up. As of the most recent reports, it was said that the iPhone 8 could be capable of wireless charging.

Apple iPhone 8 To Feature Wireless Charging

Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities has always been one good source of Apple related claims, and now, he's back at it with a new statement. As per GSM Arena, Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the 2017 iPhone will be wireless charging enabled. However, it will only be the most premium variant that will ship with a wireless charger bundle.

Apple iPhone 8 Rumor Roundup

As per 9to5mac, there will be three iPhone 8 devices and all of them will come with an all glass body. This actually makes sense as having an all glass back could make wireless charging faster and with minimal disruption of frequency. Nevertheless, Apple has not confirmed any of these reports yet. It's worth noting though that the iPhone 8 is an anniversary iPhone (tenth iPhone model). This is probably why it is strongly rumored that there will be one super-premium iPhone 8 coming in with two iPhone 7 and 7 Plus successors.

As of now, the only things known about the 2017 iPhone is that the premium variant will have an edged screen and a bigger display. Nevertheless, there are also news saying that all variants of the iPhone 8 will be ditching the home button and rely upon a display-embedded sensor for their fingerprint scanning needs. This pretty much sums up the iPhone 8. There will be three all-glass models and one of them will have a curved screen and a bigger display.
