Assassin's Creed: Syndicate Receives PS4 Pro Update; End Results Are Not Satisfying?

Following the official launching of the PlayStation 4 Pro several game titles were given an upgrade support for the new powerful console from Sony. One of these is the most beloved storied franchise Assassins Creed in their latest game title the Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.

The newest game title from Ubisoft was released about a year ago. It focuses on the story behind the twin assassins Jacob and Evie Frye's quest for peace and liberty during the Victorian era in London. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is the ninth major installment in Assassin's Creed series following the 2014's Assassin's Creed: Unity.

According to the report from VG247, several game titles are releasing updates prior to the launching of PlayStation 4 Pro. However, it seems like the end results have been mixed at best. Apparently, Assassin's Creed Syndicate is the latest example for this kind of situation. It was reported that the game increases its resolution to 4K. However, it seems like it does not include other visual benefits.

Based on the sources, Ubisoft has released a 1.5 update for the game which claims to be adding a 4K support on PlayStation 4 Pro. The result was quickly dissected by the players on NeoGaf forums and discovered an inconsistent outcomes. As seen on the screenshot, the mini-map runs in native 4K while the game itself is a 4K upscale. That means you can still see similar pixels and visual objects when zooming into screenshots.

This might not be a major issue on several Assassin's Creed fans. However, it would be frustrating enough to purchase a luxury console and discovers a lesser change in visual quality. Meanwhile, it was expected that more details, possible new textures and visual effects will be added to Syndicate soon. Additionally, it is worth noting that Ubisoft has opted out this year in order to focus on their upcoming Assassin's Creed entry.
