Singer and actress Selena Gomez has recently been announced as Instagram's most followed celebrity. With over 103 million followers, Gomez has dominated the photo-sharing app in 2016.

Among all the celebrities, the 24-year-old pop star has the most Instagram followers. As for individual posts, she scored 8 of the 10 most popular celebrity photos and 7 out of the top 10 celebrity videos. Majority of the most-liked celebrity related posts in 2016 was related to her as well.

Gomez' most popular Instagram photo is for a Coke advertisement and it garnered her 5.2 million likes. For her top video, it was a clip of her dancing and singing with a young fan, which has a total of 20.1 million views.
