‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Spoilers, News And Updates: Release Date Announced; The Imp, Mr. Mxyzptlk To Appear In Next Episode?

Some spoilers of "Supergirl" season 2 seem to suggest that Mr. Mxyzptlk will make his appearance in the show when its second half will be aired in 2017. This character is a villain that is associated with Superman. His appearance is also rumored to lead into a "The Flash" and "Supergirl" musical crossover.

The Imp Uses Pranks And Jokes To Destroy

Based on some reports, it appears that Mr. Mxyzptlk will force "Superman" and "The Flash" to race against one another while the planet is being destroyed. Rumors say that a similar thing will happen in "Supergirl" season 2 crossover but the difference is that "The Flash" and "Supergirl" will be forced to sing whenever they need to talk.

Mr. Mxyzptlk, according to a Comic Book report, is a prankster and a mischievous imp in the fifth dimension. He is usually associated with Superman but will make his appearance in two episodes of "Supergirl" season 2. This imp is a magical creature who likes to play jokes and pranks to Superman so that he can manipulate him.

He Shares His Powers With The Joker

Some of his pranks often lead to disastrous results. His magical powers can change the gender of people. For instance, he turned Wonder Woman into Wonder Warrior and Lois Lane into Louis Lane. In his mind, it is all but a joke.

He also lent some of his powers to the Joker. The Clown Prince of Crime then transformed the universe into the image that he liked using the powers Mr. Mxyzptlk gave him. This imp can also merge multiple piles of earth, dimensions, and timelines. His powers were explored in "The Flash" and future episodes of "Supergirl" season 2.

So far, there is no news yet as to who will play the role of Mr. Mxyzptlk in "Supergirl" season 2. And although the rumors are that he will appear in two episodes, there are still no details as to what episodes his character will appear. The second season of the show will begin airing on Jan. 16, 2017.
