As the day the 2017 Honda CR-V goes officially available draws closer, the intensity of anticipation from buyers grows stronger. Apparently, Honda has decided to raise the 2017 CR-V price a little and then sweetened the deal with more features. Despite the fact that buyers are going to have to pay more to get their hands on the new model, it appears that this would not hinder the 2017 CR-V from dominating the crossover segment.
Price Goes Up A Little
According to report from USA Today the 2017 CR-V base trim LX now has a price tag of $24,945. Compared to its previous model, it is now more expensive by a margin of $200. The middle trim EX has a $600 increase and now stands at $27,595 while the top trim Touring also gets a $200 increase, putting its price at $33,295. Accordingly, if buyers choose to upgrade from the front wheel drive (FWD) to the all-wheel drive (AWD) for any of the trims, they will have to pay an additional $300.
The Deal Sweetener
The increase in the price of the 2017 Honda CR-V can be considered a small amount to pay considering the features that come with the new model. Daily News reported that trims EX and above will have a better flat-panel touchscreen along with a new knob control for its audio system. It was also mentioned that the 2017 CR-V has an active noise control, automatic climate control and hands-free Bluetooth as standard features.
The higher trims offer the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with the Honda Sensing safety equipment that includes forward collision warning, dynamic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control. Other standard features include power driver and front passenger seats, LED headlights, premium level audi system and a cabin upholstered with leather.
A Small Price To Pay
Given how Honda raised the 2017 CR-V price a little then sweetens the deal with more features, one can easily conclude that the new tag is a small price to pay for a lot of benefits. Besides, the features are not the only things buyers can look forward to as there is also a lot going on under the hood of the new model.
