Gridlock 2.0 Allows You To Organize Icons On iOS 6 Devices

Gridlock 2.0 now offers support for iOS 6 devices, including the iPhone 5, and enables users to tweak and rearrange their app icons using a simple drag and drop action.

Normally, iOS prevents users from organizing app icons in any way apart from a linear manner. With Gridlock 2.0 you can leave spaces in between apps and make your own theme of icons.

"Gridlock, a powerful tweak that allows you to arrange your icons however you would like through drag and drop. No longer will you need blank icons which have ugly shadows, or you have to remember not to tap," per the app description of Gridlock 2.0.

According to Grant Paul, the developer of the app, Gridlock 2.0 is a complete rewrite, as Apple has changed the way icon movement works on iOS 6, which has made Gridlock a lot harder to update. Grant notes that because of the icon movement change and the work required to rewrite the entire app he is charging a fee. Grant says, "I don't like charging twice, but this time the amount of work required it."

Gridlock fully supports iOS 6.x including the iPhone5, as well as iOS 3.x, iOS 4.x and iOS 5.x.

"Gridlock 2.0 is available right now in Cydia's BigBoss repo for an upgrade price of $1.99. Newcomers will have to fork over $4.99 to enjoy the tweak," reports iDownloadBlog.

iDevices are packed with many impressive features but unfortunately, Apple restricts users from changing many aspects on iDevices. However, many users want to customize their iDevices to suit their personal preferences, and tweaks like Gridlock 2.0 fit the bill.

Have you used Gridlock? What do you think of the tweak?
