Final Fantasy XV Guide: Tips To Unlock All The Sealed Doors Inside The Dungeon

Final Fantasy XV is an open world action role-playing video game that is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game was released worldwide on Nov. 29 and is the fifteenth main installment in the Final Fantasy series.

While working your way through the game, you've probably noticed some dungeons in Final Fantasy XV. If you have already done that, chances are you've noticed something strange that leads you to a locked peculiar door. However, it is not something both Noctis and Prompto can't handle. Here, we show you a handy guide to unlocking the Final Fantasy XV Dungeon doors.

What You Need To Know About Locked Dungeon Doors

All the eight dungeons in Final Fantasy XV feature at least one of the mysterious doors. They are usually found at the back-end of the dungeon in the boss area. The doors open to reveal another dungeon that will eventually lead you to some of the hardest challenges Final Fantasy XV has to offer. Consider the dungeons as your training ground to reap more experience points as you will be encountering the most difficult enemies from level 50 all the way to level 99.

If you are an avid explorer, there might be a good chance you'll bump into these mysteriously locked doors. However, these doors remain unlocked until you have completed the entire story (15 chapters). Once you have finished the game, you can initiate a special quest that will reward you the Dungeon Seal Key. The key is the special item needed to unlock the doors inside the Final Fantasy XV dungeons.

How To Unlock Sealed Dungeon Doors

Once you complete the game, you can access the open world of Lucis once again. To get the quest for the Dungeon Seal Key, head to Meldacia Hunter HQ - it's the area East of the Vesperpools.

At the Meldacia Hunter HQ, there will be an NPC called Ezma. She is the old lady sitting in a chair. Talk to her and she will offer the key to the most dangerous vaults and dungeons in Lucris. You need to first finish the most basic layouts of several dungeons before she hands you the keys. These include Crestholm Channels, Balouve Mines, Costlemark Tower and Daurell Caverns.

After finishing, get the key from her and you can use it to access the secret dungeons found inside the Keycatrich Trench (Level 55), Greyshire Glacial Grotto (Level 65), Fociaugh Hollow (Level 65), Steyliff Grove (Level 72), Daurell Caverns (Level 78), Crestholm Channels (Level 86), Balouve Mines (Level 92) and Costlemark Tower (Level 99).
