Lumia 820 Available Now For $0.01 On Amazon Wireless, Hits Philippines Too

There's been a lot of hype lately about Nokia's Lumia 920, 720 and 520 Windows 8 smartphones.

It can be easy to forget about the Nokia Lumia 820 which is now available at an incredible (or unbelievable?) price of $0.01 through Amazon Wireless.

My Nokia Blog reports that it doesn't recall having seen the Nokia Lumia 820 offered on Amazon Wirless in the past, but that the device is indeed now available for the startlingly low price of a penny.

Sure enough, when you check Amazon Wireless' product page for the Lumia 820, there it is: marked down from $399.00 to, yes, $0.01.

"The Nokia Lumia 820 with 4G LTE and Windows Phone 8 is truly a value-priced powerhouse," Amazon Wireless says.

Product specs for the Nokia Lumia 820 are as follows:

  • Dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
  • An award-winning Nokia ClearBlack OLED display that measures 4.3 inches and "blocks incoming light reflections through a polarized layer to improve screen visibility under direct sunlight so you always have a rich user-experience"
  • Advanced 8mp camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash and simple sharing tools
  • Front-facing VGA camera for easy self-portraits
  • Video play and capture is available with Carl Zeiss optics and HD 1080p
  • Up to 64 GB MicroSD expandable memory and SkyDrive cloud storage available
  • NFC technology, HAC compatibility and access to over 100,000 applications via Windows Marketplace
  • Measures 4.88 x 2.69 x .38 inches, weighs 5.57 ounces

Compared to the Lumia 920 (which has recently gone on sale at Amazon Wireless for an almost equally low $19.99), the Lumia 820 may be a lesser contender.

But considering all of the features you get for one penny makes Amazon Wireless' price guarantee for the Lumia 820 a promise you can take to the bank.

Additionally, the Lumia 820 is also now available in the Philippines.
