Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Drops 6 New More Maps Next Week

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is giving its fans an early gift by dropping in six new maps for free on December 13. After the release, players will now have a total of 16 multi-player maps to explore in the game.

According to Activision, the Callof Duty: Modern Warfare publisher, the multiplayer maps are called Bloc, Pipeline, Countdown, Strike, Showdown, and Wet Work. Aside from the new maps, the new Modern Warfare DLC will also include two new game modes as well. The game modes are called Gun Game and Hardpoint, which were introduced in the Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2.

Aside from these additional maps, there will also be a Christmas-themed map this December called Winter Crash. The players will be given access to the 24/7 Winter Crash playlist which will be released on December 20. The map is part of the free content release.

Other freebies include the Hailstorm -Prototype pistol bonus which is given to those who have clocked them in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. The pistol has a three-round burst as well as two perks called Whirlwind and Focus. Focus allows players to reduce idle sway while aiming down sights while Whirlwind is a fast cycling auto burst that increases recoil. The pistol is available until Dec. 31.

More gifts will come as Christmas nears. On Dec. 21, players will receive gifts by just logging into the game. Some of the freebies include Salvage an Key bonuses as well as some winter-themed Legendary, Rare, and Common proto-types.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is part of the game's Legacy, Legacy Pro, and Digital Deluxe Editions of the franchise's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. As of the moment, all of them are sold as one unit. The game is available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
