Clash Royale Strategy: How To Use Clone Spell

The Clone Spell is a very situational card as it can literally backlash when played incorrectly. Since the cloned troops only have 1 HP, virtually all AoE abilities can wipe out your entire push. But the upside of this card is that it can literally obliterate your enemy's Tower in an instant. So what does this imply? Simple, this card is going to serve as your Win Condition.

What Win Condition means is that it'll be a chained combo tailored to win you a Crown or make an effective Elixir trade. Simply put, despite doubling the size of your sieging troops, this spell can be rendered useless by virtually any AoE abilities in the game which means that the essence of this spell is not just to destroy your opponent's Tower but also to make an effective Elixir trade. In order to put this into perspectives, let's take a look at the guide made by Orange Juice for the Clone Spell.

Clone Spell Tips and Strategy

Ice Spirit - by placing your Ice Spirit in the center of the field, you can split the troop into the two lanes which can be effective when dealing against pushes in two lanes. (cloned troops' abilities depends on the level of the cloned troop).

Guards - remember that the cloned troops will retain the card's original abilities right? Therefore, cloned Guards and Dark Prince will retain its shields which means that they're able to block the first impact of damage from your opponent's spells (e.g. Rocket, etc.).

Skeleton Giant - now this is one of the best part! If you clone the Skeleton Giant, once it dies, the cloned troop will also drop the devastating bomb that deals insane amount of damage in an AoE radius. This is one of the reasons why Clone can change the competitive decks soon!

Changing Target - the best thing about the clone spell is that it resets the focus target of the cloned troops which means that if your target drops a defensive building to change its aggro, you can effectively clone dodge this by resetting its focus midway and sacrifice your cloned troop while the original troop engages the original target.
