Michael Schumacher's Condition Goes Downhill? Son Mick Poised To Replace F1 Legend

In the wake of silence regarding Michael Schumacher's health condition, there have been ongoing speculations that the F1 legend has been struggling to recover after his family denied a German report stating that he can walk. As of the latest, insiders close to the family have spoken with regard to Schumacher's status.

Michael Schumacher's Condition

It has been almost three years now after Michael Schumacher suffered a traumatic brain injury from skiing in the French Alps that placed him in a medically induced coma for six months. Despite the series of medical treatments, the condition of the German Formula One world champion has been rumored to be going downhill. This speculation first broke out when a German publication reported that Schumacher was able to walk again which the legend's lawyer Felix Damm immediately denied.

Months after the claim though, insiders close to the family have dished out some details on Schumacher's stage of recuperation. In an interview with The Telegraph, Mercedes CEO Ross Brawn stressed that the racing superstar shows some signs to conclude that he is well on his road to recovery, even soliciting for prayers to fasten it.

Mick Poised To Replace F1 Legend

In other news, Michael's son Mick has been grabbing the headlines as he is said to replace his father sooner or later. According to a report from Daily Star, the 17-year-old might soon be joining Mercedes junior program. Neither the Schumachers nor Mercedes confirmed the report but it becoming a reality doesn't go far though considering the teenager's exposure to the racing industry. Currently, Mick leads the MRF Challenge Formula 2000 championship in four races with 12 more to go before the finale to take place in Chennai, India.

Apart from Michael Schumacher's absence from the picture, Mercedes has a lot of reasons to bring in racers in the blood to its team. Lately, current Formula One champion Nico Rosberg has astounded fans with his retirement announcement. With only Lewis Hamilton and a couple in its roster, Mercedes needs to hear the call for a new breed of racing superstars in the making.
