Mysterious Motorola Smartphone Makes Video Appearance: The X Phone?

A mysterious Motorola smartphone has popped up online in a video, fueling speculations whether it is the much-rumored Motorola X. However, reports suggest that the unidentified Motorola phone is question is not the Motorola X, but a completely new device.

The latest information comes courtesy of the folks at Tinhte, who allegedly managed to lay their hands on a yet-to-be-announced Motorola-made Android smartphone. The website notes that the mysterious Motorola phone is not the X phone as it does not sport a large screen, which can compete with other flagships offerings in the same league.

"Upon receiving intelligence about a Motorola phone is very excited for the first time in I think this handset X (X Phone) however when receiving the machine, I do not think so, X Phone as this unit is hard to change the game (change the game)," reports Tinhte (translated).

The svelte-looking phone, per the site, has the model number XT912A, hinting that the device is a part of Motorola's RAZR line-up of handsets (the DROID RAZR sports the model number XT912).The new Motorola phone has a touchscreen which is over 4 inches (720p) and is powered by a Snapdragon S4 processor. The device also features Adreno 320 GPU, houses 2GB of RAM and a 2200mAh battery.

The bezel of the mysterious smartphone is quite narrow and the device sports an interesting look for the usually sharp-edged RAZR line-up. The curved black back, however, is reminiscent of the HTC One.

One can see the notation "Motorola Confidential Property" in the video below. Little else is known about this mysterious Motorola smartphone at this juncture. Whether the XT912A is a pre-release build of the current RAZR HD devices or a completely new, yet-to-be-released phone is still shrouded in mystery.
