Nokia Lumia 920, Lumia 820 And Lumia 620 Software Updates Confirmed

Nokia has recently confirmed that it will start pushing software updates to some of its Lumia smartphones including the top-end Lumia 920, mid-ranged Lumia 820 and the entry-level Lumia 620.

"As part of Nokia's continuous development practice, we will be introducing new software updates for Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820. This software, version 1232.5957.1308.00xx, includes further performance and stability improvements, enhancements to display stability during a call, and improved automatic display brightness adjustment," notes the Nokia Community Blog.

Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 were the first of the Windows Phone 8 smartphones to be launched. The Lumia line-up of smartphones has attracted many smartphone users looking to buy an alternative to iOS and Android handsets. However, the smartphones have been priced steeply when compared to Android smartphones in the same category.

The entry-level Lumia 620 launched in December 2012 has been attractive to customers looking to experience WP8 phones at an affordable price. However, customers in the U.S. do have the opportunity to get a taste of the handset as Nokia has launched the Lumia 620 in the country.

Nokia also added that "In addition, Nokia Lumia 620 has some new software in the pipeline. This software, version 1030.6407.1308.00xx, will include improved touch behavior and enhancements to system stability and camera picture quality, such as corrected camera exposure when the flash is used in bright light conditions."

Nokia confirmed that they will deliver the latest software on new Lumia 920, Lumia 820 and Lumia 620 smartphones now, and current users of these smartphones will be receiving the updates to their phones later.

Nokia also confirmed that the availability and timing of the update is region dependent and to contact your local Nokia Care team for more information.
