Rent Is Too Damn High Candidate Jimmy McMillan Seeks Reddit's Help In Fighting Al Qaeda And Rent Hikes

Jimmy McMillan leapt to national attention in 2010 as a candidate in the New York gubernatorial race, as the candidate for the “Rent Is Too Damn High” Party. With his amazing facial hair, populist message and martial arts expertise, he was unforgettable to say the least, and the greatest political candidate anyone had ever seen to describe him more accurately.

Though he somehow did not end up getting elected, the internet could not forget him, using his image and his message to take on the problem’s of the day, mostly those involving something being too damn high.

Well on Sunday, McMillan returned to the internet to talk with the users over on Reddit about his next political move, running to replace New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg in the election this November, and the continuing status of the rent, and other expenses, he sees as being more expensive than he would like.

“As a soldier, (Vietnam War Veteran) I know what it is, and I'm here to correct it. For my country,” McMillan told Reddit. “Rent is too damn high means that the prices of everything have gone up while your wages and amount of available jobs have gone down. Some may think my metaphor is a comical joke.. But there ain't nothing to laugh about. RENT IS TOO DAMN HIGH!!!!1”

He said that he loves the attention he’s received from the web since his debut three years ago.

“I love it, and I love all you quick minded young people!,” McMillan said. “You are the future!”

He also turned the tables on the AMA (Ask Me Anything) policy, asking the redditors “Did you eat breakfast? It's the most important meal of the day!”

As a closer, McMillan uploaded a video to YouTube, summarizing his thoughts and urging redditors to do what they can to stop the Al Qaeda money that is being circulated by the elected officials that are driving up everyone’s rent prices.
