Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Can Stand Up To Fallout And Witcher; But There’s A Caveat

Next year marks the arrival of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo's upcoming title will be the biggest open-world RPG of 2017 after Fallout 4 and Witcher 3, which had their releases last 2015. But even then, Legend of Zelda looks to be a big game. Players who anticipate the title have high hopes for it especially with the release of Nintendo Switch where Breath of the Wild is also expected to be included. But can Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild stand up to mammoth titles like Fallout 4 and Witcher 3?

Will Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Beat Fallout 4 and Witcher 3?

If truth be told, Breath of the Wild cannot beat Witcher 3 or Fallout 4 outright. First, Witcher 3's storytelling is superb. The Fallout series, on the other hand, gives open-world RPGs a new meaning when it comes to gameplay freedom. These two qualities are something that Zelda games lack. Since Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is no new game, it will not obviously become a great narrative in just a day. It's also unlikely that its developer will be able to make it as big as Fallout 4 is or make its gameplay as intense. But there's one thing that Zelda's developers can focus on to make it stand out among its competititors.

Legend Of Zelda Needs To Focus On Its Best Strength

Legend of Zelda games has always been known to break tradition with its being different. However, Breath of the Wild can only win against its competition if it will do something unique. To do that, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild must take advantage of the best strength of Zelda games: its mythic feel. Legend of Zelda is all about bringing you into a mythic world full of fairy tales, legend and folklore. This may not seem too big for some but if developers can focus on this one aspect of the game, Zelda can be the next game of wonder of 2017.
