Pokemon Go Guide: How Playing On Apple Watch Differs From Pokemon Go Plus

Niantic has announced today that Pokemon Go is now available on Apple Watch. The company has previously teased the app that is running perfectly on Apple's wearable device. However, many fans are curious if how the Apple Watch version differs from the existing wearable device called Pokemon Go Plus.

Apparently, both devices share some similarities in terms of functionality. According to the report from Otakukart, Apple Watch and Pokemon Go help players record the distance without requiring them to turn on their mobile phones.  On that notion, both devices will assist trainers tracking the distances for Buddy Pokemon and eggs. In addition, these wearables also notify the user whenever a PokeStop is nearby. Meanwhile, these will also help them spin a particular nearby PokeStop and add the items to their respective bags.

On the other hand, there are several known differences between the two wearable devices. Some of these differences are the Workout Sessions. If you are using an Apple Watch to keep track of your health, you can log to your Pokemon Go playing session on the said device's health tracker.

Both wearables also differ on Catching Pokemon. As reported, Apple Watch only notifies the players whenever a wild Pokemon has appeared nearby. Pokemon Go players are still required to open their phones in order to catch the said Pokemon. Meanwhile, Pokemon Go Plus does not display the information of the nearby Pokemon but it will allow you to catch it without opening your mobile phone.

Another difference between the two is the Egg, while both devices keep track of the distance to hatch eggs, the Apple Watch takes it to the next level by allowing you to see what kind of Pokemon you just hatched recently.

Moreover, it seems like both devices are similar in many other ways. Given only that Apple Watch provides visual experience making it advantageous compared to Pokemon Go Plus.
