T-Mobile Tweets BlackBerry Z10 Will Be Available March 26 $249

T-Mobile took to its Twitter account to announce the BlackBerry Z10 will be available online and in retail stores on March 26.

T-Mobile finally set a date for consumers who want to purchase BlackBerry's make-or-break smartphone. T-Mobile recently began offering its business customers the option of purchasing the smartphone. On March 26 T-Mobile will begin selling the BlackBerry Z10 at its retail stores and online.

The BlackBerry Z10 features BlackBerry 10, 4.2-inch 356ppi (pixels per inch) 1280 x 768 IPS display, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, Adreno 225 GPU, 16GB internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera, 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC (near field communications), A-GPS w/ geo-tagging, microSD expansion slot and a removable 1,800mAh battery.

BlackBerry is hoping the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry 10 OS to will help the former king of smartphones gain some of the market share it has lost over the years to Apple and Samsung. The BlackBerry Z10 has reportedly been selling well since it was released overseas in January. BlackBerry designed its next-generation mobile operating system to be intuitive and heavily gesture-based, and so far BlackBerry fans are enjoying the OS inside their latest BlackBerry smartphones.

The BlackBerry Z10 will be one of the first devices that officially supports its new 4G network. T-Mobile's 4G LTE is very limited currently, but the carrier expects to be adding more and more cities with coverage.  T-Mobile will be offering the Z10 on March 26 for $249 when signing a new two-year contract.
