Dead Rising 4 Gets Honest Game Trailer From Smosh Games

This Christmas season saw the release of Dead Rising 4 from Capcom Vancouver and oddly enough, it puts protagonist Frank West back in the town of Willamette. This time around, the entire town is geared up for the holidays. Reception for the game wasn't quite that hot, and the guys at Smosh Games have given Dead Rising 4 its own hilarious Honest Game Trailer to point out all of the things they found wrong with the game.

Smosh Games had already made an Honest Game Trailer for the first three Dead Rising games, and they comment on how the series was more of satire to the zombie genre by not being so dark, and putting more emphasis on the GTA-like level of freedom for the players. With Dead Rising 4, not much has changed, and players still get to use protagonist Frank West as he bludgeons his way through zombie hordes while trying to figure out who is behind the outbreak. Spoiler alert: It's the government.

DR4 also removed a lot of elements form the past games like the time-limit missions and the game also has psychopath encounters, but unlike the earlier games, the fights don't seem to last that long. Frank still gets to dress-up in kooky costumes and put together any weapon to make zombie bashing a bit more fun.

According to a report, a lot of fans thought that the fourth game had a lot of elements removed from it that made the series unique in the first place. What's more, gamers feel like the new "selfie" feature in the game was some sort of compromise to all the lacking elements, but it did nothing but promote Frank West as some sort of sociopath.

Nonetheless, the trailer still says that the weapons and the vehicles still make the game fun, and the new exo-suits bring in a whole new level of enjoyment - too bad they only have the battery life of an iPhone.
