Smanos Launches W020i Wi-Fi Alarm System

Smanos launches a very cool innovative device for securing home and the housemates. The device can monitor and send a notification, in the case of any emergency inside the home. But what makes it stand ahead of the crowd is the Wi-Fi capable alarm. Yes, it can blow off the alarm with a blasting sound from any remote location.

How To Use It?

The Smanos system is very easy to set up, it will take less than 30 minutes. The W020 is a compact white box-shaped device with a circular LED indicator on top. The ring glows green when the alarm is vulnerable and turns red when activated via the Smartphone app (there are Android and iOS versions) or through one of the remotes. Whenever one of the sensors is activated the device sends a push notification to the synced Smartphone and blows off its onboard siren.

How To Place It?

It can be glued with the inbuilt adhesive but always try to fix it with a screw on the wall. The device has a range of about 20 feet, and during the tests, it detected only human's movement inside its range, not pets. Smanos IP6 security camera connects to the regular 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and records HD video (720p) to an onboard microSD card (up to 32GB) it cannot store videos in the cloud. Unfortunately, if a thief steals the card or the entire camera, it will not provide any video evidence. The device can also be viewed live through the smartphone synced with it.

Where To Buy?

The W020 device costs $100. A motion sensor for $39, door or window sensors for about $28, remote keys for $25 each and a security camera for $125 can be purchased separately. The device is available on Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Home Controls, The Home Depot, Rakuten, Newegg, Sears, Fancy and B&H.
