Microsoft Offering Special Deal For Gamers Who Buy The Xbox One S

Sony may have got ahead of Microsoft when they released the PS4 Pro earlier, but Microsoft has a special deal for anyone who plans on buying the Xbox One S before the year ends. Turns out, a lot of other retailers are in on the promotion, so buying an Xbox One S from different retailers gets you a different amount of goods.

According to the official website, the promo will be running from Dec. 25-Dec. 31. Different gifts are available depending on where the Xbox One S is bought. Buyers who opt to get them in Best Buy, Amazon, or Walmart.com will be able to get a free wireless controller. Buying a unit at Gamestop will get a free Xbox Stereo Headset (in white or black). For people who opt to buy it in Target or any Microsoft store, they will be able to get a free game of their choice.

According to Game Tyrant, players can choose between titles like Battlefield 1, Dead Rising 4, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim The Special Edition.

The Xbox One S boasts introducing next-gen console gaming by being able to play games at 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, have High Dynamic Range, and be able to have 4K video streaming as well. For quite a while, the internet community has been plagued by PC players boasting that the "console peasants" couldn't handle 4K gaming, but with those features that Microsoft has been teasing, the console gamers may as well just even out the playing field.

Microsoft is also quick to remind gamers that the Xbox One S also comes with a backwards compatibility library that gives players access to more than 300 Xbox 360 games. There's also the fact that there are about 100 Xbox-exclusive games that gamers won't be able to play on any other platform.

The Xbox One S has a price tag that starts at $299.99, and the special offers have an average value of about $50. Eager buyers should act quick since the promo only lasts until Dec. 31.
