Final Fantasy XV Director Has A Surprise For Fans This 2017

The year 2016 has been good to Hajime Tabata primarily because Final Fantasy XV was finally released after 10 years in development. If that was not enough, FFXV has become one of the best games in 2016. Tabata acknowledges all the good things that have come his way and promised his fans some surprises in 2017.

Tabata posted his thank you message on the Square Enix blog where he thanked the fans and listed the achievements of Final Fantasy XV, some of which included dubbing the game in four languages, affixing subtitles in 12 languages, and releasing a mini-game on mobile.

As a result of those achievements, Tabata assured FFXV fans that they will continue to update the game and release a DLC. He also asked fans to continually support the game.

Speaking of DLC, it can be remembered that Tabata has mentioned before Final Fantasy XV was released that they have a Season Pass DLC all lined up. At that time, he mentioned a total of six DLC titles with tentative working titles. These include Booster Pack (DLC 1), Episode Gladio (DLC 2), Holiday Pack (DLC 3), Episode Ignis (DLC 4), Episode Prompto (DLC 5), and Expansion Pack (DLC 6). Based on the working titles of the coming DLCs, it seems like each character will have a more complex personality and behavior as the game progresses.

Aside from the total number of the Season Pass DLCs, Tabata did not provide more information but promised fans that it will be worth spending their money on.

With Tabata confirming once again what fans should expect of Final Fantasy XV, then there is a lot to look forward to this year regarding the game. So far, FFXV has already delivered two versions of the Crown Update which brought a lot of new gameplay elements in the game never seen before in the Final Fantasy series.
