Overwatch Fans Cry Foul Over ‘Unplayable’ New Map

Just a couple of days ago when the Winter Wonderland event wrapped up, Blizzard Entertainment gave Overwatch fans a blow by blow treat by releasing a new map to play starting Tuesday, Jan. 3. The map called "Oasis" exudes a Mediterranean vibe which makes it more exciting. Unfortunately, many fans have cried foul over the new map for it being "unplayable."

"Unplayable" New Map

Overwatch fans took to Reddit to express their disdain over the "unplayable" new map called Oasis, which Blizzard Entertainment just released in the game last Tuesday, Jan. 3. According to author named Victor4X who initiated the complaint thread, "the new map is literally unplayable." In a clip showed by the said player, the blackboard didn't spin, which should reveal the aforementioned map, even if he tried different weapons to box it out.

As many have observed, the blackboard didn't spin because it stood right next to the wall which blocks it from tilting. In the meantime, Blizzard Entertainment has not released any statement yet to confirm if the wall really is to blame. Even so, Overwatch fans should expect for the developer to release a minor update to solve this issue.

As of this writing, the thread already gathered 190 comments and most of them are statements expressing their concern about "Oasis." One user pleaded game director Jeff Kaplan to address the matter as soon as possible because "this is just unacceptable." Another user stressed out to move "blackboard a few feet away from the wall to allow players to spin it."

In A Time Loop

As "Oasis" became an instant buzzword in Overwatch communities, many fans on the other hand are putting the new map in question in terms of innovation. According to author named wellwasherelf, "the map has been in the game for a year already." Other players shared similar sentiments saying "Oasis" is just taking Overwatch fans in a time loop.

"Oasis" is the new map for the Control gametype set in a revolutionary desert location populated by a congested vehicle traffic. Watch the new map's trailer below and comment down your thoughts!
