New Samsung Galaxy S8 Rumor: Microsoft Continuum-like Feature To Be Showcased

Samsung is about to release the Galaxy S8. With that, more and more rumors about the device are flooding the web. While these rumors are pretty much unconfirmed, they are most likely near the truth. The most recent rumor, however, it quite a surprise, and in a word, exciting. Apparently, Samsung might actually stuff the Galaxy S8 with a Microsoft Continuum-like feature. How Samsung is going to make this possible in the Android platform, remains an interesting topic.

Samsung Galaxy S8 New Rumor

If you aren't familiar with Continuum, it is a Windows 10 feature that allows your smartphone to power an entire PC setup. You just have to connect to a keyboard, mouse and monitor and you're good to go. It's a great development in mobile actually, and Samsung seems to agree. Apparently, rumor has it that the company will launch a similar concept for the Samsung Galaxy S8.

GSM Arena has reported a certain slide that shows how this Continuum-like feature will be present in Samsung's future devices. As per the said image, the smartphone will be connected to the monitor by means of a wire while the mouse and keyboard will be connected via Bluetooth. These connections will result to a full desktop experience.

Needless to say, this rumor isn't confirmed by Samsung so this may or may not be true. What you can do right now is to wait for the actual launch of the device to see which of the rumors are 'hits' and which ones are 'misses'. Fortunately, it won't take too long before you can do that as Samsung Galaxy S8's arrival is already happening very soon.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Rumored Release

As per Express UK, Samsung might be releasing the Galaxy S8 this April 2017 at a standalone NY event. This may not be the traditional release time that Galaxy S fans are used to but it's not exactly a very long extension either. Needless to say, Samsung fans in general are quite excited about the S8. A portion of these people awaiting the Galaxy S8 are those who were reluctant to surrender their Note 7 devices, at least based on self-proclaimed Note 7 owners who rant at online communities. Nevertheless, people are also excited about the Galaxy S8's alleged high-tech features and super improved specs.
