Kia Showcases The New Picanto In The GT Trim

Kia Motors, who has exponentially grown over the past few years, released photos of the 2017 Picanto in the top of the line and sportiest GT trim. The car hatchback features angular LED headlamps and a sporty body kit with vents that gives it a more aggressive look compared to the previous smiling grille and rounded lights. The new Picanto represents a look that is more driver-focused while retaining its compact size.

Red Highlights Accent The Body Panels

The body kit of the 2017 Kia Picanto feature sporty air vents and side skirts, and a raised grille can be seen in its front fascia. The Picanto would also sit on allow wheels, although the wheel size has not been disclosed yet by Kia. Red highlights can also be seen on accenting the front air vents and the sides giving it a distinctive look.

The rear end of the Kia Picanto would look similar to its predecessor, with the exception of a black rear diffuser and a twin exhaust system. The wheelbase would also be 15mm longer than the current version, giving it a wider stance for a more confident cornering feel. Future Kia Picanto owners also have 11 color palettes to choose from.

The interior of the 2017 Kia Picanto is now focused for younger audiences with its additional high tech devices. The infotainment system would now have floating touch screen center display that offer a lot of services that include navigation and promises to have all the latest in-car technology available in the market. Cabin and cargo has also been upgraded to offer more space for its owners and occupants.

A Contender To Other Hatchbacks

In addition, leather materials with red stitching would be used for most of the furnishings that include the steering wheel, armrests, and seats. The longer wheelbase is responsible for the roomier space inside of the 2017 Kia Picanto. The length, however, still stay the same as the current model. Kia's hot hatch can be a true rival to the likes of the Honda Fit, Ford Fiesta or the Volkswagen Golf. Kia will officially unveil the 2017 Picanto on March at the Geneva International Motor Show.
