Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 Spotted At FCC, To Debut In Late May

Samsung has already announced the highly-anticipated Galaxy S4 and the carriers which will carry the handset. A recent report indicates that the Verizon version of the Galaxy S4 has been spotted at Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the carrier will offer the smartphone from late May 2013.

Samsung announced the Galaxy S4 but did not confirm the release date of the handset. Individual carriers are now announcing their release date for the device. T-Mobile (USA) has confirmed the release date of the handset as May 1 and AT&T and U.S. Cellular have confirmed that they will start taking pre-orders of the phone from April 16 onwards.

The Galaxy S4 is one of the most-demanded smartphones and Verizon has remained silent on the release date of the handset.

"None the less, their variant of the Galaxy S4 cruised through the FCC today under model number SCH-I545. There isn't anything new in the filing, but it does list out LTE at both 700MHz and AWS frequencies, CDMA, and some global HSPA bands, leading us to believe that it will be global-ready," reports Droid-Life.

Droid-Life also indicates that the Verizon variant of Samsung Galaxy S4 will release on May 23, which is around a month late than other U.S. carriers. Samsung announced the Galaxy S4 in many regions, which will include 327 carriers in 155 countries. The Galaxy S4 will be launched on all four major U.S. carriers, as well as U.S. Cellular and Cricket.

The Galaxy S4 packs in top-end features and unquestionably has already attracted many smartphone enthusiasts looking to buy a new high-end smartphone in the near future.

As the release date of Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 seems to be delayed, will you wait for the carrier to launch the handset or will you buy the handset from other carriers?
