According to report, the previous Honda Odyssey was capable of 248 horsepower. Honda has added another 32 horses in the 2018 Honda Odyssey 's 3.5-liter V6 for a total of 280 horsepower as reported. Accordingly, buyers get two options in terms of transmission. It was mentioned that the six-speed automatic transmission from the previous model has been replaced with a nine and 10 speed automatic gearbox.

Other updates include a new CabinWatch system with a second row mounted camera that allows the driver to be able to see what is going on at the back through the infotainment screen.
