Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Now Up For Sale

Samsung revealed the Galaxy Tab 8.0 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event earlier this year and now the device has made its way to a Samsung store in the UK.

"Samsung Mobile UK has today announced that customers in the UK are now able to buy the Galaxy Note 8.0 from the Samsung Experience Store at Westfield Stratford City with other channels to follow. Ultra portable thanks to its 8-inch screen size, the Galaxy Note 8.0 comes pre-loaded with a suite of new content and services worth over £60, at no extra cost to the customer," says the official press release (via PhoneArena).

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has a price tag of £339 ($520) for the 16GB Wi-Fi-only version and the company is also giving away £60 ($92.03) worth of freebies to those purchasing the tablet starting April 15, which will last for a limited time only. The £60 freebies will include a £20 ($30.68) voucher to spend in the Samsung Learning Hub, two free months of The Times worth £32.00 ($49.08), Samsung Music Hub access for one month, Need for Speed Hot pursuit, AVG Anti-Virus Pro, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 and 50GB of Dropbox space free for two years.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 sports an 8-inch TFT display with 1280 x 800-pixel resolution and 189 pixels per inch (ppi). A quad-core 1.6GHz processor powers the device. The tablet is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash. The device also has a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 has 16/32GB of on-board storage and an option to expand the memory to a further 64GB. The tablet runs on Android 4.1.2 and a 4600 mAh battery powers the device.
