Grab The Nexus 7 For Just $119.99 From Tiger Direct

Have you been hankering for the Google Nexus 7 tablet and been waiting for a good bargain? Well, you're in luck, as the 7-inch best-selling ASUS-made tablet is available for a discounted price of $119.99.

Tiger Direct is retailing the 8GB Wi-Fi variant of the Nexus 7, which is no longer in circulation (remember Google Play Store stopped selling this version?); however, there is a catch.

Not only is the variant a refurbished one, but to obtain the Nexus 7 deal you must also purchase the bundled Total Defense Premium Internet Security, which sets you back by $189.99. However, a $70 rebate will bring down the price to $119.99.

The Total Defense Premium Internet Security is a generic antivirus and not one most would like to purchase otherwise.

The $119.99 Nexus 7 deal from Tiger Direct  is valid for Friday (April 12) and the prices may shift slightly until April 30. Previously, the same deal would have cost consumers $100.

"Right now Tiger Direct is selling a 8GB Nexus 7 bundle that comes with Total Defense Premium Internet Security for $170, which isn't a screaming deal. The antivirus software that's part of the bundle isn't well known and you probably don't want it. However, with that crappy software comes a $70 rebate that brings the effective price for the Nexus 7 to $100," noted a Gizmodo report on April 11.

To obtain the $70 rebate, customers need to have an active subscription and installation of the antivirus software at the time of rebate submission. However, that should not be too tough, as the software comes with a free subscription and one only needs to remember to cancel it after getting the rebate, before the subscription ends, to avoid being charged. Once the deed is done, simply uninstall the file from your device.
