Nokia Lumia 720 Goes On Sale In Russia

Nokia announced its budget-friendly Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 earlier this year at the MWC 2013 in Barcelona.  The Lumia 520 has already started making its way to consumers across the globe, and now the Lumia 720 is also following suit.

Per reports, the Windows Phone 8-powered smartphone has gone on sale in Russia. Nokia fans in the country would be able to procure the smartphone for 14,990 Russian rubles (approximately $480).

"The Lumia 720 has now gone on sale in Russia and should soon (be) arriving across the globe very soon," reports Phone Arena.

The smartphone is available via retailer Svyaznoy; however, the asking price is a little steep when compared to other countries. By comparison the Lumia 720 costs Rs 18,500 or $340 in India.

According to the manager of Svyaznoy, the Lumia 720 is available for purchase only via the online stores.

The Lumia 720 is also available for pre-order through Nokia's online store. However, a manager disclosed to WinPhoneLive that those interested can make the order and a few minutes later will be called back to verify the payment and delivery.

Contrary to official data which was posted on the pre-order page, the Lumia 720 went on sale in Russia a day earlier. The smartphone is available in several hues: white, yellow, black and red.
