HTC One: Top 5 Features You'll Love

The HTC One is HTC's flagship smartphone for 2013 and will go on sale in the U.S. on April 19. The HTC One is a gorgeous and fast smartphone thanks to its sleek aluminum unibody case and 1.7 GHz quad-core processor. Once you hold the HTC One you can feel this is unlike any Android smartphone on the market. It feels very Apple-esque in its build and attention to detail, it also has some unique features that are sure to make the HTC One a hit. Let's take a look at the top five features of the HTC One.

1.    Design

HTC nailed it with the aluminum unibody case that wraps around the smartphone. You've got to hold one to truly appreciate the attention to detail and overall design HTC has built with the HTC One. The back of the HTC One has been specially cut to create a natural curve that makes it fit perfectly in the palm of your hand. 2.    Display

The HTC One uses a sharp and crystal clear 4.7-inch SuperLCD3 Full HD 1080p display with 468 ppi (pixels per inch). The screen is one of, if not the best looking displays on any smartphone. The 468 ppi on the HTC One easily trumps Apple's iPhone 5 with its Retina display and 326 ppi and Samsung's Galaxy S4 441 ppi. Everything from text, pictures, video and more look stunning on its display.

3.    User Interface

HTC has redesigned HTC Sense 5 to be clean, smooth, and fast. It's the best version of Sense yet; the new skin provides a modern look and some unique features. Blink Feed is the most noticeable change, it constantly updates information from your social and news feeds and brings them to your home screen. While it might seem distracting t first, you'll love the feature and how it provides information automatically without having to open an app.

4.    HTC TV

HTC created an app called HTC TV that turns the smartphone into a universal remote control and interactive program guide.  The power button on the HTC One serves two purposes, power and IR blaster. The app's program guide has tons of features and allows you to mark favorite shows and movies and Blink Feed will automatically remind you when they're going to air. The universal remote control buttons can easily be set to the lock screen for even faster access.

5.    Boom Sound

Like most of HTC's smartphones the HTC One ships with Beats Audio built in, which provides superior audio quality. The HTC One kicks things up a notch with HTC Boom Sound, you have never heard audio sound so good on a smartphone. The front facing stereo speakers are exactly where they should be, on the front of the smartphone and they provide the best sounding audio from music to phone calls. You will be blown away at how amazing this smartphone sounds.

If you're looking for an Android smartphone that stands out from the cheap and plastic-feeling smartphones most companies make, the HTC One is the smartphone to choose. It's design and feature set make it one of the best smartphones available regardless of platform.
