Google Glass Specs, Camera, Battery Life Revealed; Price Still Unknown

On Tuesday, Google revealed Google Glass' application programming interface (API) for developers to take a look at, and now the search giant has also taken the lid off the device's specs.

One of the most talked-about features of Google Glass is its ability to take photos and videos virtually anywhere. According to Google's spec sheet, the device will be outfitted with a 5-megapixel camera and will be able to record videos in 720p.

The spec sheet also states that Google Glass' "high resolution display is the equivalent of a 25 inch high definition screen from eight feet away," even though it doesn't provide any numbers. According to The Verge, though, it'll be running on a 640 x 360 display. Glass will pack 16GB of flash storage, though 12GB of that will be usable. Battery life was unspecified, but Google wrote that it'll be able to function a full day on a charge, though using features like Hangout and video recording would obviously drain the battery much faster.

Unsurprisingly (but sad anyway), there was no price mentioned. Google Glass is expected to be available by the end of this year.
