Nokia Lumia 928: Features, Specs And Release Date (All You Need To Know)

Nokia is widely expected to release a new top-end smartphone, the Lumia 928, believed to be a variant of its Lumia 920. The Lumia 928 is speculated to be an exclusive for the carrier Verizon and tech experts opine that the Lumia 928 and the Catwalk or Laser could very well be the same Nokia device, only meant for different carriers.

As rumors surrounding the Lumia 928 continue to gather momentum, with the latest reports pointing to a April 25 release, we take a look at what the device will pack in.

Form Factor

The Lumia 928 is believed to be 10.2mm thin and will be a lot lighter than the Lumia 920. The smartphone is expected to tout an aluminum exterior and its design is speculated to resemble the Lumia 720.


The Lumia 928 is expected to house a  dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, clocked at 1.5GHz.


The Lumia 928 is expected to feature a 4.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 768 pixels resolution.


The Nokia smartphone is rumored to feature an 8.7-megapixel primary snapper with Xenon and LED flash. Images that were allegedly taken from the Lumia 928's primary camera surfaced online and hinted at a high-resolution camera on the device. The leaked images also suggested that the phone has an f2.0 aperture.


The Nokia Lumia 928 will likely come with 32GB of on-board memory. The smartphone will likely have 1GB of RAM.

Operating System

The smartphone will likely come pre-loaded with Windows Phone 8.


Reports have pointed to a 2000 mAh battery for the Lumia 928.


The Nokia Lumia 928 could see the light of day as early as April 25, per the latest reports. The Lumia 928, per rumors, is slated to hit the shelves on either May 2 or May 9.

Previously, rumors pointed to a May 15 debut for the Lumia 928. Nokia is expected to announce the smartphone at a media event in London. U.S. carrier Verizon will likely retail the Lumia 928 exclusively, in white, black, red and cyan.
