Kylie Minogue Called It Quits With Fiancé; Joshua Accused Of Being An 'Opportunist'

The award-winning singer Kylie Minogue recently confirmed her breakup with 29-year-old British actor Joshua Sasse after being together for over a year.

On Friday, Kylie took to Instagram and emotionally shared the news of their split. In her post, the 48-year-old singer expressed that they "wished only the best for each other." She also thanked her fans for their continuous support and understanding.

Reports claim that Minogue pulled the plug on their engagement after Joshua allegedly cheated with Spanish actress Marta Milans. The "Can't Get You Out of My Head" singer suspected that his now ex-fiancé has been cheating on her and was said to kick him out of their West London home.

Kylie was also seen without her engagement ring adding fuel to speculations that the two are really over. Friends and families of the singer are believed to have had doubts about the couple's relationship from the start, especially with Sasse's real intention.

Aside from their age gap, some believe that Joshua is only using Kylie's fame for his own publicity. According to a source, Joshua has shown too much interest in sharing the spotlight with her, something that none of Kylie's exes have ever done before.

"None of Kylie's previous partners have ever shown such a keen interest in sharing her spotlight and people saw through it," the source explained to The Sun.

There were also claims that Kylie even treated him to hair implants and even paid for opulent holidays. "We believe it all came down to a desperate attempt for stardom," the source added.

So far, Joshua has not commented on the said issue. The real reason behind the split remains unclear as well.

But fans of Kylie need not to worry as the singer announced a new record deal with BMG only a day before the split became public. In another Instagram post, Kylie wrote, "I promise you will have my heart and soul in this next record."
