Dauntless Game Specs Finally Revealed; PC Title a Mix of Monster Hunter and Souls Series

The upcoming Dauntless game boasts fast-paced action and thrills similar to that of the Monster Hunter and Souls franchise. Those who are preparing for the hunt will not need a powerful PC judging by the recently released system requirements.

Dauntless Draws Inspiration From Two Good Sources

Fans of hunting games usually find their thrill from facing against fearsome foes rather than looting their kill. In line with this, Hardcore Gamer reports that Phoenix Labs is trying to focus on this specific feeling with their upcoming free-to-play game. From the get-go, the game seems to draw inspiration from two iconic titles, Monster Hunter and the Souls series.

The free-to-play game also offers the player the chance to customize their character. Just like most hunting titles, fans can swap armor and weapons throughout the game. This gives players the chance to change their builds if ever they decide to opt for a different playstyle.

Since the game places focus on the hunt, players will not be scouring the area for materials. Rather, they are pit in the fields during the start of the mission with only one objective: hunt their prey. Naturally, this game shines more with other gamers as working together in battle offers a strong sense of fulfillment and camaraderie.

In terms of combat, players are pit against dangerous large creatures that can easily kill them if they are not careful. Fans will have to coordinate and plan smartly to maneuver around the field and know the right time to strike. Furthermore, each beast has their own deadly moves so fighting against each creature is a completely unique experience.

Official Specs of the Game

Luckily, almost anyone can play the game as long as they have a decent PC. The minimum specs require a 660Ti (DX11) card, i5 SandyBridge CPU, 4GB RAM and Windows 7 DX11 Support with the target performance of 720p on low settings, as per PC Gamer. Alternatively, the recommended specs are GTX 970 (DX11) card, i7 Haswell CPU, 8GB RAM and Windows 10 with the target performance of 1080p on high settings.

The title will be available sometime this year with the BETA version still ongoing. Players who are fans of the previously mentioned games will most likely enjoy this hunting game. For now, fans will have to wait for further additions and news regarding the Dauntless.
