A news publication also states that if the production team will finally decide to bring back Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder can say goodbye to Nikki Reed.

Then recently, during the last wrap party of the series, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder wasn’t even seen or greeted each other. This very reason made it more believable that there is a feud between Nina and Ian. Lastly, on the fan page of “The Vampire Diaries” on Facebook, it was stated that the two are keeping their distance together for their own good. Nikki Reed might force Ian Somerhalder to leave if she finds out that he is talking to Elena Gilbert.
