PS4 Exclusive NieR: Automata Gets A New Trailer

Two PS4 exclusives are set to come out this month, and those are Guerrilla Games' Horizon Zero Dawn and Platinum Games' NieR: Automata. To prepare for the release of the game, a new trailer has been posted online, and it gives fans another interesting look at the upcoming game.

The Protagonists - 2B And 9S

The trailer is completely in Japanese, but it features a ton of new images that haven't been leaked online before. The protagonists, 2B and 9S, are highlighted in the trailer, and fans can have a look at some of their gameplay mechanics and a few different animations in the cutscenes.

What's probably most interesting is the appearance of multiple new bosses, including a pair of white-haired bishounen twins. The colossal "construction site" boss from the demo also appears in the trailer, confirming that content from the demo is indeed included in the game. After the successful reception of Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 2.8, fans of Square Enix games should be looking forward to whatever NieR: Automata has to bring to the table.

Game Goes Gold

News had recently come out that NieR: Automata has already gone gold, so fans can expect no further delays in the game's release. Constant delays have become a staple with Square Enix titles, with FFXV getting delayed for several years as well as Kingdom Hearts III getting moved further back. At least, fans can be sure that they'll get their hands on NieR: Automata near the end of February.

Funny enough, NieR: Automata has a release date very close to another PS4 exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn. With the two games being very highly anticipated titles, fans are curious as to which female-lead PS4 exclusive will come out on top upon release.

NieR: Automata is set for a release this coming Feb. 23 in Japan with releases in North America and Europe set for March 7 and 10; respectively.
