Nokia Lumia Event May 14: Should We Expect Lumia 920 Successor Catwalk, EOS, Phablet, And Tablet?

Nokia just sent out press invitations for an event the company is holding in London on May 14. The invitation reads, "The Nokia Lumia Story Continues." Since everyone likes to read into messages of this type, the "Lumia Story Continues" line could indicate that Nokia will launch several different Lumia devices at the event. Let's take a look at what Nokia might announce that day:

We already know that the metal bodied Nokia Lumia 928 is likely headed to Verizon with a May release. It will reportedly be the first Lumia to have a full metal body. It doesn't seem like Nokia would announce Verizon's exclusive Lumia at a London event; the company could announce an unlocked version or international carrier support at that event.

The Nokia "Catwalk" is rumored to be the Nokia Lumia 920 successor. The smartphone is expected to be thinner and slimmer compared to the Lumia 920. It will also feature a new design with an aluminum chassis, if the leaked pictures are to be believed.

Other possibilities are a Lumia phablet that the company is rumored to be working on. The phablet has been described as "similar in size to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, but with more advanced specifications." There are also rumors of an "EOS" smartphone that will have a 40-megapixel Pure View camera and put major focus on image quality. Last but not least, Nokia has also been rumored to be working on a Windows 8 tablet. It makes sense that Nokia would want to offer a tablet like most of its competitors in the smartphone world.

All of these are rumors for now, and we'll know all the details on May 14 when Nokia tells us the rest of the "Lumia story" — and you can be sure we'll be covering the event for you.
