Add this in the long list of great things you will find in the new Chevrolet Traverse and you have one heck of a winner SUV.

2018 Chevrolet Traverse: The New And Newer Look

The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse looks pretty much better than any of its previous version. In fact, you can even choose the looks you want as the new model offers two new trims with sporty looks. The RS is a blacked out model that sports a black chrome grille along with black bow tie badges and a set of 20-inch wheels. Depending on your preferences, a luxury look is also available in the High Country that sports a set of 20-inch polished wheels along with special badges and LED headlights.

In addition, the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is also set to receive a special Redline Edition according to report. The special Redline Edition will be available for the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse when it arrives in the U.S. market next fall.

2018 Chevrolet Traverse: A New Powertrain

The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is not just any other SUV. It is powerful enough to stand toe-to-toe against some of the most powerful models in the market. According to CNET, the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine as the new standard powertrain. This engine is powerful enough to deliver 305 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that distributes the power through a front wheel drive (FWD) setting but you also have an option for an all-wheel drive (AWD) configuration.

The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse RS model will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that cranks out 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. This will also be mated with a nine-speed automatic transmission with the same configurations as the other trims.

Accordingly, the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse V6 and 2-0 turbo have a fuel efficiency rate of 18/25 and 20/23 in the city and on the highway respectively. In addition, there is also a way for fuel efficiency to be boosted on AWD models. Apparently, the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse AWD can disconnect its rear axle on certain conditions to boost the rating in fuel economy.

2018 Chevrolet Traverse: Price And Arrival

The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is scheduled to hit showrooms across the U.S. in September. Prices however have not yet been revealed but it is expected that the automaker will make the announcement as the launch date of the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse draws closer. In addition, it is expected that the price for the 2018 Chevrolet traverse will be close to the current price, which is at about $29,000.

The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse certainly offers a lot of new things for us this year and it is definitely one SUV worth waiting for. The only drawback is probably the fact that we will have to wait several more months before we get our hands on the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse.
