Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Will Have DLC Packs Not Available For Individual Purchase

It's safe to say that Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the most highly anticipated games slated to be released this year and that it's one of the highly speculated exclusive titles for the Nintendo Switch. As the official launching of the game nears, more and more details have risen in the web that shed light about the most awaited action-adventure yet. Today, new information regarding the game's upcoming DLCs have been disclosed and it has left some fans frowning.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC Pack

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been garnered as the highly awaited title for the newest hybrid-console of Nintendo, the Switch. The newest iteration of the Zelda franchise has left millions of fans yearning for the release of the Switch and is being considered by some as one of the major catalysts for the hybrid-consoles's apparent popularity.

With that being said, Nintendo is making preparations for the sure-to-be blockbuster hit Breath of the Wild by introducing another set of DLCs that will be exclusively released for the $20 Season Pass holders. According to Nintendo, the Season Pass will grant players exclusive access to two upcoming DLCs slated to be released later this year. Here are all the details straight from Nintendo:

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild $20 Season Pass Exclusives

The Season Pass will include but not limited to: two exclusive DLCs (set) and three new treasure chests (readily available to the game upon purchase). One of the treasure chests will contain a limited edition Nintendo Switch shirt in which Link can also wear in the game (customize). The other two chests are said to deliver "useful items."

As for the first DLC, the content is expected to arrive in the summer which will contain the addition of the Cave of Trials Challenge as well as new hard mode and a new feature for the game's map. For the second DLC, the content is slated in Holiday of 2017. This DLC will add a new dungeon and a whole new original story. The Expansion Pass or Season Pass is both available for the Switch and Nintendo Wii U.

Lastly, the DLCs cannot be purchased individually which means that in order for players to experience the exclusive contents, one must purchase the $20 Season Pass. More details are explained by the franchise's producer, Eiji Aonuma in the video down below.
