Bard's Tale Trilogy Update: Production Of The Game Halted

Bard's Tale is considered as one of the most played RPG games today. However, rumors loom on game forums that Bard's Tale remastered won't continue its production because the remasters were removed from Bard's Tale 4 backer's site. But Rebecca Heineman, the person behind the Bard's Tale creation Old Skuul, said that the rumors surprised her. She also confirmed that she still has the full intention of finishing and releases, including the remastered version of the game.

Rebecca stated that the delay in the remastering of Bard's Tale games is because of the budget. Rebecca said that she asked inXile for a payment for work done to date. However,  inXile declined so she had to take paying gigs. Rebecca added that The Bard's Tale trilogy is her "baby" especially the Bard's Tale 3.

Rebecca was the one who programmed Bard's Tale 3, and designed its map, which  makes her emotions really attached to the game. Rebecca said that she wants to make arrangements to give way for the release of the remastered trilogy.

The Bard's Tale 3 is a fantasy role-playing game developed by Interplay Productions during 1988. It is a dungeon crawl game which has a slight difference with its predecessors such as graphical-auto mapping system, enhanced save game feature, and new spell character classes. Bard's Tale 3 is the sequel of the game Bard's Tale. The game was designed by Bill Heineman, which is now known as Rebecca Heineman, along with Bruce Schlickbernd and Michael Stackpole.
