The team behind Pokemon Go's success made another amazing update on their creation. Niantic announced that there will be additional Pokemons that the trainers can catch along with new features and minor updates that will make the game a lot more fun to play.
Niantic added over 80 additional Pokemons, which are originally discovered in the Johto region, that the trainers can catch. Niantic also made gender-specific variations for selected Pokemons, new encounter mechanics, additional poke ball and berry selection carousels in the encounter screen, additional avatar outfits, additional accessory options, new night mode map, new encounter music, additional bonus candies for catching evolved Pokemon, Implemented Apple Watch connection with stability improvement, various bug fixes, and minor text fixes.
John Hanke, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Niantic said, "Today is a momentous occasion for our team here at Niantic which has been hard at work to deliver these additional Pokémon and build upon the encounter and capture mechanics for our passionate global community of Trainers playing Pokémon GO. Pokémon GO is a live experience which we'll be continuing to support and evolve in new and interesting ways for years to come with new gameplay features, in-game and live events, more Pokémon to discover and much more."
A lot more changes than the Gen 2 Pokemon are coming to the game because of this massive update, including a ton of reworking of the encounter and capture system, new items required for evolution, new types of berries, and all new customization items for Pokemon trainers.
