Star Trek Into Darkness: Three New TV Spots And A Klingon Unmasked

Three new TV spots have been released for the highly anticipated Star Trek Into Darkness, along with an image of a Klingon villain without a mask.

The first two TV spots for Star Trek Into Darkness don't provide much in terms of information about the film. They basically center around the same sort of themes we've been seeing, including the sinister nature of villain John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch) and the need for Kirk (Chris Pine) to live up to certain responsibilities.

The third TV spot, however, is more intriguing and centers around Uhura (Zoe Saldana). It features a scene of Uhura being evaluated by Harrison, much like how we saw Spock being evaluated by him before. The difference here, however, is that we get to see a couple of peaks of an unmasked Klingon.

You can take a look at the image of the Klingon here. What we don't know is whether all the Klingons in Star Trek Into Darkness will have the same cranial design or whether they will be different, as has been the case in the Star Trek universe since the first Star Trek movie in 1979. Although all of the Klingons had ridged foreheads, those ridges varied between the separate Klingons.

Star Trek Into Darkness hits theatres in IMAX 3D on May 15 and in 2D and 3D on May 17. It also features Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Anton Yelchin and Alice Eve. You can watch the new TV spots for Star Trek Into Darkness below.
