There has been an ongoing rumor that Stiles would have to end his life in "Teen Wolf" this season but nothing has ever been confirmed.

In the series' winter finale, the life of Stiles was left uncertain as the show tried to keep his fate remain unknown. Reports also reiterated that the upcoming episodes might focus on Scott instead of Stiles. As it was stated in one of Davis' interview:

 "In 6B, it all goes back to Scott's character and where Scott would be going from here, finally going from teen wolf to man wolf."
